PCHAs' Tonkin-Palmer and Lindsay Commit to the Storm

Saturday, July 29, 2017

The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Forward Isaac Tonkin-Palmer (‘00) and Defenceman Reid Lindsay ('00) have committed for the 2017-18 season. Both played last year at the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy in Victoria.

Isaac Tonkin-Palmer, from Cobble Hill, led the Sea Devils in scoring with 21 points. Head Coach and General Manager Lee Stone is impressed by the 5’10” 156 pounder, “Isaac is a kid we’re really excited about, someone in high demand on the Island. A high end player in terms of quality of person. He plays hard, has high end skills and will push for the Junior A level this season.”

Reid Lindsay, from Prince Rupert, was the ‘go to’ backliner for the PCHA Prep team. “Reid is a big catch for us,” says Stone. “Real steady, great at blocking shots with a good stick; I watched a game last year where he probably played 40 minutes, no exaggeration. He’s a guy that can carry the mail for us.” Lindsay led all Sea Devils defencemen with 11 points last season.

The regular season kicks off on Friday, September 1 at the Brindy against the Oceanside Generals.
