The Campbell River Storm Junior Hockey club is pleased to announce the acquisition of forward Darren Hards.

The 18 year old, from Prince George, has spent the past two seasons in the BCHL with Surrey, Cowichan and, most recently, Langley.

Storm General Manager Lee Stone feels Hards will be a great fit, “We are very excited to add a player of Darren’s caliber and even more excited because he approached us on being here. Adding a two year BCHL veteran who plays with speed and physicality is a no brainer any day but especially when that particular player wants to be a part of your program.”

According to the General Manager the fans can expect a new favourite, “He skates fast and creates energy all over the ice with his physicality and great skill set. We expect Darren to be a game changer in a Storm uniform.”

For his part, Hards is looking forward to joining the Storm, “All I can say is that I’ve had friends play there, they loved it and I want to get the fans goin”.
